Hello,

Marriage 3830/1885 LEAR JOSEPH - PALMER ALICE M - ARGYLE

The Sydney Morning Herald - Friday 4 July 1890 p.1
PUBLIC NOTICE.-I will not be responsible for any Debts contracted by my wife, ALICE MAUD LEWTON LEAR after this date, July 3, 1890.
JOSEPH LEWTON LEAR, late of Leichhardt.

I'm looking for a death for Alice. Her father could be James. Mother currently unknown.

Although Joseph married as LEAR his death was registered under LEWTON.

I can't see a divorce or a remarriage. No mention of Alice in the notices:

The Sydney Morning Herald - Saturday 25 June 1898 p.16
FUNERALS
LEWTON.-The Friends of the late Mr. JOSEPH LEWTON, late Chief Railway Inspector permanent way Southern line, are requested to attend his Funeral, to move from his late residence, 15 Young-street, Redfern, THIS (Saturday) AFTERNOON, at half-past 1 o'clock, to Rookwood Cemetery.

Not this one
