Alice was the eleventh child in the Gray family. She was born at Casino on the 18th October, 1866. She married William Alfred Noble who was born on 6th April, 1859 (he died at Mt Druitt on 3rd June, 1942, and was interred in North Shore, Sydney, Crematorium). Six children were born of the marriage, namely: Clarence Kingsley Noble, Bruce Fitzroy Noble, Ella Caroline (Walker), Ivy Frances (McKnight), Una Beatrice (Innes), and Arthur Vincent Noble. Alice died on 21st December, 1944, at the home of her daughter, Una Innes, in Mt Druitt.

Mrs. Isobell Holland, Alice’s grand daughter, has a number if recollections that are worth noting. She remembers that Alice was a happy, gentle woman, who was always very neat and tidy. She was very lady like, and was always very tied up with her family concerns. Her husband was a fencing contractor, and he also installed windmills. He apparently was an intelligent man, and had a very good memory. The family travelled quite a bit: they lived at Molong for a period, and finally settled in Mt. Druitt.
