Amelia Rowlands - Australia

Can someone help me please to find Amelia Rowlands who may have emigrated to New South Wales, Australia?

I can't find here beyond the 1861 Census where she is living with her sister and brother in-law. She was born in 1836 Birmingham, England. Her parents were Richard and Elizabeth Rowlands.

No sign so far of Amelia in shipping records to Qld., NSW or Vic. No sign in BDM and no sign in newspapers. No sign in Deceased Estates.

Why do you think she ended up in NSW?

A while ago someone sent me a message to say that there was an Amelia Rowlands on the Passenger Lists for NSW. That's all I have.

No other datails? rough date - Assisted or unassisted ? Any others by the same family name?

One site I have not checked is the Unassisted to NSW.

So far I can't see a marriage or a death to 1940.

Also, so far I've only checked the spelling Rowlands.

Checking the Electoral rolls

Victoria: Florence Amelia Rowlands

NSW: Bertha Amelia Rowlands and Ruby Amelia Rowlands

I would say they are ruled out being in the rolls in 1936.

I can't think of anything else at the moment.

Dave, apologies for the late reply. Many thanks for searching for Amelia Rowlands in the Australian records. She clearly did not emigrate as I was led to believe. I shall have to go on looking for her in the UK. I suspect the name Rowlands has been misspelt in her case and I have found quite a number of different spellings for the name.
