Bruce Ismay would have been the gentleman who Amy tells us jumped in to Collapsible boat C almost on top of her. He was later condemned for taking the place in the lifeboat to save himself. He was the shipbuilder who designed Titanic. Another harrowing tale, but given the choice who can honestly say they would not have taken the chance to save theirselves?
