I have a baptism in Stickney Lincolnshire in 22 Feb 1819, his name was Samuel Blay, couldn't find a marriage, couldn't find a death then I found an image of a parish record I had tucked away in a folder, although no date is visible on it, it is after 1855 and likely to be a village census in 1860ish showing the family and underneath his widowed mums household it gives all her children, in and outside the village, who they are married to etc for Samuel it says
Samuel b 1816 " at sea"
from that I looked and found
UK Merchant Navy Seamen Records, 1835-1941
Name: Samuel Blay
Event Type: Military Service
Event Year Range: 1845-1854
Event Place: United Kingdom
Birthplace: Lincolnshire
Birth Year: 1820

I can find him on no census at all, any help to find out anything at all about this man , where he was/went is appreciated
