Anglo Saxons.

Many of us are descended from the Anglo Saxon tribes who came to England in around the first century onwards and such. Two counties of my ancestral homes are of Saxon origin Essex and Sussex.

One very saxon sounding name in my tree is Walder. This means that I must have lots of Anglo Saxon blood in my veins. I think they originated in Saxony in Germany. The Angles and Jutes came from Denmark.

I think Essex means East Saxons and Sussex means south Saxons. It is also believed that many Saxons came from what is now modern day Poland as Saxony is not far from Poland.
