I have registered on GRO site because I purchase the odd certificate but have not tried the site recently.

Sarah's maiden name to sort out.

Also search for parents of Thomas and Frederick.

I'll resume this one tomorrow.

No luck so far finding parents of Thomas and Frederick.

I can't see a Frederick in 1861 or 1871 census who would fit - a gentleman in Exeter.

Can't see a death for Frederick that would fit.

No Probate record found. That one looks to be a butcher in census.


Can't find a Thomas Bond in Devonport with an occupation similar to timber merchant.

Can't find a marriage for a Sarah Bond to a Hambly.

The butcher can be found in the census and I think he can be ruled out.

There does not seem to be a Frederick the right age to be a brother of Thomas (b. abt 1805) in Exeter or in Devon or Cornwall in 1851, 1861 or 1871 - or a death that fits.

Probate record clearly says Frederick the brother.

I can't find if Thomas Milton is a brother-in-law or not. May not be related.
