1901

30 South Street, Greenock West District
Alexander Malcolm son single 39 Certified teacher Greenock
Jane B Malcolm dau single 30 Greenock

I thought it might be a family split over two pages so I have looked at all the entries for 30 South Street. There is the above entry and five other families living there. None of the families are called Malcolm. Unfortunately I am not able to see images of the original pages so don't know what
,if anything, has been missed.

Thanks Emeltee,

I use my credits on SP for some births, deaths and marriages and very rarely up to now on census images. That might change in future.

Parents are in Millport, Bute by 1901.

I was not sure about Kilsyth so I looked it up.

Kilsyth is a town and civil parish in North Lanarkshire, roughly halfway between Glasgow and Stirling in Scotland.

EDIT: I think she is the correct one

Em's also found it, just noticed [sorry Em]...

Wondered if it was her at first, has to be same family, with Archibald the teacher.

Visited the solicitor today to sign the probate papers to be lodged with Supreme Court.

Also signed the marketing contract for the sale of the house I'm living in. I plan to move to a strata unit a bit further north.

Nancarrow, Newbery, Noble, Niquet and Noffke plus a few others.

Things starting to move along... Whilst a very sad time, I'm sure you'll be pleased to get things in order, Dave..

Will you still have good access to library facilities?

I'll be on a bus route that will take about 30 instead of 10 minutes to get to same local library and on different bus routes to city to State Library about same travel time as now - 40 min.

Lots of things to do to the house to prepare it for sale. It was built in 1928 and had extensions done in 1980s. We bought it in 1988. I have plumber coming tomorrow to change basin taps. Gardener and painter in first half of January. It looks like a 1990s house. The external colour scheme is going to be more up to date with current fashion.

Oh, I made sure the libraries remained within reach. But, saying that I have not actually chosen the unit I plan to buy. Not even looked yet.

The estate agent has an incentive clause to get a good price. The house will be open for inspection 6 days during February on a Wed and Sat so I'll be busy and in need of help the days preceding the first inspection.
