I downloaded a death certificate yesterday from SP that showed I had an error in my tree. The new information has created a puzzle that is proving hard to solve because so far records can't be found for some births, marriages or deaths. We'll start with Ann, my GG grandmother.

Anne (nee COCHRAN) has not been found in 1851 or 1861. She is listed as deceased in 1863 marriage record but no death has yet been found.


On 16th June 1863 at 15 Burnhill Street, Rutherglen Alexander McLuckie (24), Overseer in a coal mine married Ann Malcolm (22), cotton thread worker. Parents Robert McLuckie, overseer in a coal mine/Jane Bell - Alexander Malcolm, Cotton and Silk weaver/Ann Cochran (deceased). Witness: John Park and Ann Bowie.
