Not much help with the grandparents... William is around in 1861 at the same address. Ref: RG 9; Piece: 1717; Folio: 98; Page: 9

Though Sarah has died and he has remarried a Mary.

Deaths Q4 1859
Gilberson Sarah
Bristol
6a 17

William Gilborson
MARITAL STATUS: Widowed
MARRIAGE DATE: 17 Feb 1861
MARRIAGE PLACE: Bristol, St Michael the Archangel on the Mount, Gloucestershire, England
FATHER: Thomas Gilborson
SPOUSE: Mary Lacey
FHL FILM NUMBER: 4220671

Found a tree.. It suggests William mar. a Sarah Morgan in 1854, not validated.

Thanks Geoff.

Is Ann with same grandparents in 1841? I presume Ann is not with William in 1861.

How many Ann MORGANs born Bristol 1838 +/- 2 can be found in 1861? Yeah, some could have married by then.

Surprisingly there appears to be only one Ann Morgan birth from Sept 1837-Dec 1839 for Bristol

Births Q3 1838
MORGAN Ann
Bristol
11 136

And 15 in Gloucestershire for the same period [includes some with middle names] 20 up to 1840.

And this 1840

Births Q3 1840
Morgan Anna Maria
Bristol
11 163

Yes. 3x Ann in 1851 born Bristol and only one birth reg.

I'm trying to do two things with the Ann in this topic. Prove her parents are not John & Mary and/or find her in England in 1861 married or not.

With the help of a tree. :)

No Priscilla Morgan in Assisted to NSW to 1853.
If she was the Priscilla who d. 1843, then maybe George went with offspring.

Though if William George was their son, this throws some doubt on the matter if the correct William George..

William G Morgan
DEATH DATE: 1880
DEATH PLACE: New South Wales
FATHER: John
REGISTRATION YEAR: 1880
