Thanks Emeltee.

I'll make that correction to the OCR text.

Poppleton fits because I found a marriage.

Looks like Henchen but can't find 1st or 2nd marriage to fit for a Mary Naughton.

Looks like Henchen to me, too, but I suppose reporters can make mistakes just like transcribers! However I see that it is transcribed as Henchen when I follow the link you gave.

Yes.

The other problem is that Mary might be a middle name.

Looks like Lily is Eva Lilian.

The Funeral notice on page 16 is much harder to read. It looks as though no one has attempted to correct the OCR text. I'll have to try. The hardest part is finding the right block of text.

Part of the address is cut off so I don't know if it is 143 or 144. Death notice has 144.

1919 VIC Electoral Roll - Bourke - Brunswick South
NAUGHTON James, 143 Union st. west, Brunswick, nil
NAUGHTON Anne, 143 Union st. west, Brunswick, home duties

Could the bit you aremissing between interrment and Coburg Cemetery be "in" or "in the"

Looking at some of the other notices these seem to be the words used.

You are probably right Emeltee.

Opp. or near Empire Theatre. Might be able to solve that one by finding another notice for same Funeral Director.

We are stuck re 143 or 144.

I'll have a look at Henchen problem tomorrow.

Death 1957 HORSWELL Edith Rebecca EventDeath Father TURNER Frederick Mother Rebecca (Kilfeder) Reg. no17715

Death 1946 BERRY Anna May EventDeath Father TURNER Frederick Edwin Mother Rebecca (Kilfeder) Reg. no7368

That is not the daughter of James Naughton and Mary Ann (Annie). That Rebecca is Mary Ann's sister.

Can't trace Rebecca born 1874.

Mary Ann's mother is Anne KNOX so don't know where Forristal and Masterton middle names come from.

I should have realised it could have been Heuchan or Heuchau. My Queensland relatives write m as w and n as u.

Also have Perdriau that is often Perdrian in the records.
