Hi Gwen,
There are quite a few Ann Thorogood's died in Essex, would it be Dunmow that you want.
I have come across 4 for Dunmow, and several more for Braintree. Did you find her after 1841.

Dunmow

1843 j/f/m - Vol.12. Page. 59
1852 o/n/d - Vol.4a. Page. 19(35)
1854 j/f/m - Vol.4a. Page. 241
1862 a/n/j - Vol. 4a. Page. 213

Ain't life simple.

Hi Steve,

There are no available Census records for 1851, They have been lost,:( but I cant find her in 1861 so I would think that unless she had left Sebbing to live elsewhere she had died before then,

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it all.

Gwen :)

Hi Gwen,
So would it be Dunmow or else where. If you can't find her in 1861 then that knocks off the 1862 entry I gave, if it is Dunmow.

Hi Steve.

I think as her husband, John die in 1855, and this was found by Ben registered at Dunmow she more than likely stayed in the Dunmow area. So it will be one of the other three I think.
Thank you steve for your help. I sometimes feel I am going round in a circle. Having problems with dads reliesdeaths as well but will post that seperately,

Gwen

Hi Gwen

Could this be a possible death?

Annie Thorogood born about 1794 death in 1854 in Essex from FindMyPast National Burials Index. I have no more credits left to view the full details but this is a possible for your Anne. I am sure someone will be able to look up the full details for you.

Hi Ben.

Thankyou So much, That sounds so right as it would be the year before John her husbands death, and as you know couples often die close together in dates, hopefully to be together in the afterlife.

Have you seen my other post re grandad Bustin that I have contacted my half brother after 50 years, he lives about 13 miles from Norwich!

Gwen

Hi Gwen

He lives near me then.

In 1884 my great, great, great grandmother died and 10 months later her husband died both of bronchitis. He probably lost the will to live once his wife died.

Are you going to send off for any of the Thorogood deaths?

Hi Gwen,

The John and Ann Thorogood you are researching. Was John a Shoemaker??
I have just got the marriage cert For GGGrandparents. Mary Ann Thorogood, married Henry Perry in 1844, Father was John Thorogood a Shoemaker.
Do we have the same John??

Hi Gwen,

I cannot send messages yet, coz Im a newbie. Ive been very busy putting the Thorogoods onto my family tree on Ancestry. Jeez they were Prolific.
can you send me a message with your email address.(might work that way)
I found smething very interesting. Mary Ann Thorogood, married Henry Perry and Henrys brother Charles had a daughter, who married Mary Anns brother:)

cant quite work out the relationship:confused:
