Don't know when James and spouse Eleanor arrived but it was probably 1853 or early 1854.

I have no arrival for Anne so she may have even died in England or on the vessel. I can't prove this is the right death.

I havent found their arrival yet but did find this

The late Mrs. Sands was born in London, and was a daughter of the late Mr. James Anderson, solicitor and first Chief Clerk of tile Supreme Court in Equity. His appointment was made in 1856 and was the first under responsible government

Thanks gibbo.

That's one notice I didn't have.

Curious thing is that we have no arrival for parents or daughter Marcella or some other children but we do have arrival for the three eldest daughters.

This one is a good fit for age - he was 47 in 1851 census:

Death 1334/1882 ANDERSON JAMES AGE 79 YEARS DIED SYDNEY SYDNEY ** 4 July

Eleanor is no problem:

Apart from deaths for James and daughter Ann(e), I think we are right for other events in NSW for the family.

This might help narrow dates down for the death of James.
Death notice for Ella Elizabeth.

The Sydney Morning Herald (NSW : 1842 - 1954)
Friday 29 March 1878

DEATHS.
ANDERSON. -March 25, at Cook's River, Ella Elizabeth Anderson, aged 39 years, native of London, daughter of the late James Anderson, solicitor.

I cant find a death index for her

Ruling out deaths where age is way out leaves:

2414/1868 ANDERSON JAMES ROBERT AGNES ST GEORGE * Age 3
3027/1872 ANDERSON JAMES ISAAC MARY BATHURST
3879/1872 ANDERSON JAMES WILLIAM MARIA DUBBO * Age 28
7111/1873 ANDERSON JAMES UNKNOWN UNKNOWN WAGGA WAGGA ** 10 Jan
2248/1874 ANDERSON JAMES JANET CONCORD ** 25 May &&
2879/1878 ANDERSON JAMES JAMES SPALDING NEWTOWN ** 6 March

Rule out 6 March - not old enough

ANDERSON James Death notice 06MAR1878 Death 48 late of Enmore, formerly of Kilcaddy, Ireland Sydney Morning Herald 09MAR1878

&& Ruled out by having sons James and Archibald.

That leaves Wagga and Bathurst. I would say Wagga is out.
