Evening News (Sydney, NSW) - Thu 23 Jul 1896 p.5
Temora News.
An old resident of this district, known as "Granny" Sanderson, died on the 10th instant, aged 94. She retained her faculties to the last. Mrs. Sanderson and her late husband formerly kept the Broken Dam Hotel, a few miles from here.

Consent of Guardian is rather odd. John was born abt 1797 and Anne about 1802. ??

Maybe Ann was underaged and her age at death is wrong?
Going by age at death she would have been around 38 when she married.

Ok question, is the Broken Dam Hotel the same as the Beehive Hotel ?

Broken Dam is a location so if the Hotel at that location was called "Beehive" then it's the right death for the Anne who married John. So 'consent of Guardian' is rather odd given her age.

Something is not right.

That's Thomas not John.

The Sydney Morning Herald - Wed 17 Sep 1930 p.12
DEATH OF MR. T. SANDERSON, ARIAH PARK, Tuesday.
Thomas Sanderson, a pioneer of the district died last night at the age of 81. He settled at Ariah Park in 1863, and was the first to select land in the district. He was proprietor of the Broken Dam Hotel when bushrangers held up the hotel. He is survived by Mrs. Sanderson, four sons and two daughters.

Thomas is a son.

I think the problem is that Thomas built the hotel but that his father the holder of the license although not on the list for some reason.

Born just after the marriage.

Shame no mention of who the Guardian was.
Ok my take on it is, she was underaged hence Guardian and no family around otherwise one would think a family member would have been a witness.??

Just found this.

Anne Brooks, b. 1802, Crookstown Co. Rosecommon, England, d. 10 July 1896, Broken Dam, NSW(near Ariah Park)

Roscommon, Ireland.

If she was one year under age then age at death would be 76 not 94 ??
