Benjamin Grist Salmon Bachelor of Sydney
Ann Riley Spinster of Sydney
Married in Princes St Chapel Sydney by License with consent of Friends

Witnesses: Rachael Leering ?, Charlotte Riley (her x mark)

I'm assuming Charlotte is a sister. Parents should be Hugh & Susan.

Family from Co Cavan, Ireland. I don't know yet if Hugh and Susan also came to Australia.

SALMON Anne Death notice 11SEP1902 Death 75 late of Sydney SMH 12SEP1902

So Anne was born abt 1827 in Ireland. I don't have a death for Charlotte yet.

Thanks gibbo.

Not just the name but the age is out too going by age for Charlotte on shipping record.

It has to be sister Charlotte - married in same Wesleyan church by the same minister. I'll look that one up next week and check the witnesses.

I wonder if the Ebenezer is actually Master Augustus on the passenger departures.
I cant find a reg. for Grace. Maybe if she was only a new born when they left they may not have reg. her.

Cathrain Taylor F 25y Ireland

If the above Grace was 25 in 1870 that would make her birth around 1845, 3 years before parents marriage  Maybe their ages were rounded off and that is why they are out of whack. I dont have full access to the census to see what the relationship was amongst them.

Yes, possibly rounded but seems rounded up not down like the 1841 English census.

At least shipping record confirms Co Cavan and parents Hugh and Susan. I looked previously and didn't find a baptism for Anne or Charlotte or a marriage for Hugh & Susan in Ireland.
