Thank you very much. That seems to fit so I was right about Annie's parents.

Annie ended up in Australia where she married on 24 Jun 1871.

Please see if you can find Annie in 1861. So far I've not found Annie in shipping records.

I've had no luck finding them in shipping records possibly because they arrived in South Australia after 1854. The arrivals database covers 1803-1854.

I did find Ruth Cowie (1818-Crakehall) in 1881 though.

Shows as married and Annuitant.

On her own as a lodger, living with Jane Thomas c1815-Hackforth, Yorks.

Living in Crakehall.
