Broomhall Home of the Vernons. It was nearly burned down in the enclosure riots as Vernon was not only the Vicar he was also the magistrate. There was a great scandal because one of the men who was hanged as a riot leader .was of simple intellect. It is a childrens nursery at present.

It was once the offices of designer David Mellor who renovated it to its former glory. Probably one of the least known beautiful buildings. I use to live up the road from it literally.
