married 1890 Creswick

Delphine May DOUGLAS b. abt 1869 Wimmera d. 1935 Melbourne

E/R 1903 & 1906 Perth, WA ? 1924 Kooyong 1931 Balaclava

I'm not sure but I hope this is the right one:

Possible birth and death for Samuel MARTIN to parents James & Bridget nee HYDE. Born 1865 (reg 22803), died 1934 in Elwood aged 68 (reg 6902).

James & Bridget married in Melbourne in 1849.

I'd better go get a copy of the death notice. :)

Ok, it took me ages to get the notice to come up. :D I'll accept that as proof. :)

Lionel was the first of 4 children.

Imperial War Graves Commission asked by NOK on 23 Aug 1956 to place ashes of ex-serviceman.

There is another PEARCE family in Victoria. Another William Arthur PEARCE married in 1895 to Fanny.

I don't know if it's coincidence or not but Vivienne Ethel could be their daughter. Or perhaps the families are related in some way and the names come from a previous generation.

Ethel was a Mrs GRIFFITHS in her mother's notice so I'd say that's probably her in Deakin. What's the cut-off date for the death index? I wonder if the 1962 death is correct and if she is still a GRIFFITHS. :confused:

And, where did I get 1962 from. :D
