Another Thomas Kane

Found this report i evening times, I know he is one of mine but not sure where he fits in. I photo copied this story a few years ago but am missing the date :( but think it's c1940's


Renton Man Missing

Mrs James Connolly of 139 back street Renton has been officially informed that her brother Pt Thomas Kane (7349), of D company of 4th H.L.I has been posted as missing by the war office since 1st Jan last, Pt Kane who will be 21 next month was employed as a rivet-beater in McMillans shipyard, Dumbarton. He was a reservist and resided in Dumbarton.
The last letter recieved from him arrived 8 weeks prior to the date which he was posted missing by the war office.
