Hello

A while back I started to try and trace some family history and a few very kind people from this forum helped me and I managed to get a very good picture of some of my family tree...Thank you all again .

But my great grand father on my mums side we couldn't find much apart from possibly what i have below ,

So I'm checking back here to see if there is anything new that maybe able to be found/added to what was provided to me please

My grandfather was Donald Edward Robertson Born 31/01/27 Richmond Surrey (Mother was Ruck)

And assuming this was my Great grandfather

Edward Francis Robertson - Born - 1892/93 - Death 22/12/26 Lancaster - Marriage 1920 to (Ruck)

Not 100% certain that the death in Lancaster is your man. Why would he be in Lancaster in December 1926 when his wife iis about to give birth in January 1927 in Surrey?

Cannot find a great deal on Edward, Charlotte is easier to find. She was born 24 March 1900 in Richmond Surrey to Henry Ruck and Mary Ann nee Williamson (Jun 1900 Richmond 2a 441 mmn Williamson) and she was baptised 5 December 1900 at St Luke's, Richmond. Address given as 79, Raleigh Road, Richmond
This is the family in 1901 Census

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X9XV-3WH

By 1939 she was a widow living at 79 Raleigh Road, Richmond. One other person with her but it is redacted so I'm guessing it is Donald.

With reference to Edward, it might be worth sending for the marriage certificate to find out his father's name. I can't find a birth for an Edward Francis but there is an Edward Robertson born Sep 1895 Kings Norton 6c 481 mmn Stamp who may be your man, particularly seeing as he married Charlotte in Kings Norton.

I'm not really finding anything at all re Edward. He is not coming up in 1921 Census and neither is Charlotte.

The only thing I have found is another Robertson/Ruck birth

Francis Henry Robertson Sep 1922 Leeds 9b 691 mmn Ruck
