Gibbo, we only have 2 dangerous spiders here, the Trap Door and the Redback and if you don't annoy them they won't harm you, it's the same with the snakes, but it's those blooming crocs you have to be wary of, a person would have to be a "flaming galah', to stand on a river bank in north QLD as the crocs can leap out of the water very fast at about up to 4 meters and grab you.
By the way Blue Cow ski lodge got it's name from when it was farmers land and they had one cow that loved going up into the snow line every winter and enjoying the cold and that's how Blue Cow Resort got it's name.
We then went fishing at a place in Victoria called Bemm River fishing for bream, never saw so many fish, you could catch one every 3 minutes and very nice to eat.
