hello everyone

i have a question

i am researching my great uncle and on the 1881 census he is aged 18 and in the huntingdon military, and he is unmarried. i searched the 1891 census and found him married and with a daughter born in shorncliffe folkstone. i searched
the army birth records and the only entry i could find was the correct date but not shorncliffe but fort - camden in ireland. do you think its possible that
she was born in shorncliffe but baptised in fort - camden? her name is lilian barnett born 1885.

the other question, i have searched for the marriage of my great uncle william barnett to annie death in the gro records but cannot find it, i have also searched the army marriages for it but no luck, would anyone have any suggestions where to go from here they must have got married.

thanks everyone

tim.

Hi Tim,

Are you sure that the William in 1891 is the same, his is with wife Annie and daughter Lillian, his year of birth is a bit out and his pob birth looks like Bedfordshire, whereas in 1881 its Hail Weston Cambridgeshire and year of birth 1863.

Hi Tim,

i have williams birth certificate and its 1863 keysoe bedfordshire, the family moved on and settled in hail weston, not sure if william just put hail weston on the census because thats where they ended up living. on the 1901 census
his wife name is louisa from edwardstone suffolk and on the 1911 census his wife name is annie from edwardstone suffolk, i have never found him on the 1891 census with his wife named louisa but i have found him on the 1891 census with his wife named annie and he has put on that bedford & keyser and she has put suffolk. on the 1911 census lilian is not mentioned but they have put that one child has died could that be the same child ?

Have had a look at your previous posts, Louisa gives her pob birth Edwarsdston Suffolk and Annies pob Suffolk.

on the 1901 census they have several children i sent for the birth certificate of his son william barnett born broadlees dover and the mothers name is annie
death on the certificate, i have done some research and there is a lot of people with the name death from suffolk, on the 1891 census the ages of the parents are different on the 1901 census they are different and on the 1911 census they are different but all have the same children and dates of birth and places etc, it feels like i am chasing three different familys but i am convinced they are the same people:confused:
