Looking for James & Mary ASKHAM/ASKAM/ASKAN/HASKAM in 1841.

Also looking for the marriage of James to Mary.

Jane was a spinster when she married but father listed as John DOBSON. ???

Jane Ramsden
Christening Date 14 Jun 1822
Christening Place Thornes (near Wakefield), Yorkshire
Mother's Name Mary Ramsden

Thanks,

Dave

This is the most likely outcome as Mary wasn't mar. when Jane was born, she was listed a spinster..

Would you like a copy of the record?

Yes thanks Geoff.

I presume that is the right baptism but I can't find the marriage to John.

Guests have arrived so I'm away for an hour or so.

The image does not agree with the transcript I was given which stated Jane was of full age.

Please email the 1845 marriage thanks Geoff.

I'll have to go in a few minutes with more guests due.

No, alternatives difficult to come by, names not too uncommon.

It's one of those situations where I would ask if there was some info that is known/definite to work from!

Please email that one if you can find the image, thanks.

The age does not fit but the location and no father listed certainly fits for a baptism for Jane.

I'll have to return to this tomorrow, Geoff.
