So who are they playing against so i can decide who i think will win.

Oh dear Gibbo, you need to get out more. The Ashes series has always been between England and Australia, starting from way back in the 1880's.

But I'm sure you really knew that already.

Still a daft sport though.>:D

Now folks you just leave the greatest game alone ! I doubt any of you guys can bowl a maiden over, but there are a few fine legs to be seen.

Just making a silly point !

The Poms are ready to take on the rest of the world with one of the best teams for some years so keep your eyes on the balls

dochines the third man !

Doc, nothing wrong with your silly little point, most of us enjoy a joke here.

Hope to see lots of fine legs this season.

HHi Oz

You will of course know that the Aussies have only won 50% of Tests they have played. The lowest score in a test with England was in 1901 when the Aussies scored 36 all out, and the highest score in a test with England was in 2009 at 903 for 7 declared, by England of course.
If you didnt know, I thought you ought to.:biggrin:

Boxing Day Test is just a wonderful unique tradition.
Aussies woeful all out for 98, Poms missed 2 catches & lost 2 appeals.
England bowling just brilliant today.
Batsman also. Strauss had a day he will never forget in his career.
Winning the toss, electing to bowl.
He also batted his way to 6,000 Test runs.
