hello all, i am trying to find were my gguncle, ned baxter is buried in australia, he died in 1955 north avalon, sydney, it also said petersham on the index card as the district, i wonder if anyone knows anything about researching lost ancesters in australia and can help or advise me. thankyou, kind regards, john

i don't think this is an easy task, i am not a professional geneologist myself ,but based on past experences i could never acess any austrlian records of any kind ,so i just gave up

I agree with Familyman it's not been easy to search online for Australian records. These days most states have online records but not all & even then it is limited to certain years.:confused:
South Australia is only online in the State Library on their internal hard drive. Very handy if you can visit the library. Not so for overseas searchers. N.S.W, Victoria, W.A & QLD have online records now ,the web sites are below.

well thats an interesting one ,i'll have to view that for my gevaux records,if i ever get the chance,last time i went here i found nothing,ending up writing to them only to be sent back applications for appling for documents etc.at the time no money ment it was a waist of time
