i don't think this is an easy task, i am not a professional geneologist myself ,but based on past experences i could never acess any austrlian records of any kind ,so i just gave up

Hi John,

I agree with Familyman it's not been easy to search online for Australian records. These days most states have online records but not all & even then it is limited to certain years.
South Australia is only online in the State Library on their internal hard drive. Very handy if you can visit the library. Not so for overseas searchers. N.S.W, Victoria, W.A & QLD have online records now ,the web sites are below.

http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au

http://www.justice.qld.gov.au/bdm/indexsearch.htm

http://online.justice.vic.gov.au/bdm/home

http://www.justice.wa.gov.au/_apps/pioneersindex/default.aspx

Hope the links work.

Cheers Peta
