I have not come across this one before myself. Is there anyway to get more information on this one? Because there is no maiden name for the mother there I don't think that I would be able to get the birth certificate with just this information.

Could be a birth/ baptism for the same child.

I really don't think that this is him as his mothers name is definately Mary. I know there is definately two Joseph Reddings born 1880 in Dublin because I originally went with the other Joseph Redding and realised it was wrong a bit further along. The other Joseph's mothers name was Margaret.

That's fine. If you can't find the record you need then at least eliminate those possible ones you can find.
