Hi

After 2 weeks off, on a genealogy trip and doing genealogy at home I am back on my 4 days on 4 days off shift tomorrow however I still have more holidays coming soon.

I work as a quality controller in a seafood factory and it is a good but often demanding role which I enjoy. It does feel strange going back to work on a Sunday.

Hi Ben,

Good luck returning to work on Sunday! It's scary how fast holidays go, but really great that you have a job in bad times and better still that you enjoy it!

I hope you found out some genealogical gems during your time off.

Cheers,
Jill

Hi

Yes I did find out quite a lot actually. I found some school registers, baptisms and a few other bits of genealogical info.

I am on holiday again in April and will be going up to Durham to do some research on that side.

Wish I could go to Durham with you Ben!!

All my line are from there and I'd love to go and visit but unfortunately I care my elderly mother and she depends on me for most things so it's a No for me:( Oh well, enjoy your trip, where are you going in Durham? Anywhere near Sunderland/South Shields where my lot are from? I've never been there before and yet I was born in Middlesbrough. Due to my father's job we moved away from the North East when I was little so I don't remember much.

Best wishes
Elaine.
