Hi Gibbo

Where was he born? The best idea is to search for churches in the vincinity of his birthplace and birthdate.

Hi Ben,

He was in keyworth as a new born. leefer has sent me a site for keyworth that i will write to and see if they can help.. i had alway thought dad may have been baptised but when i asked him he said he didnt know and that when ever he had to put a religion on any paper work he just put church of england as that is what most of his family were so he assumed he was as well.

Good luck on your quest Gibbo.
I had a rellie who didn't get baptised/christened until a week before her wedding, and she was 21.
Then I had 4 Gt.Uncles who all got baptised at the same time, even though there were 10yrs between the oldest and the youngest.

As a side note, I was never baptised but still married in church. My Vicar was a bit more progessive than most others at the time.
