Hello crankypants,

Lots of possible deaths for Bridget DUNN. Hard to prove they are sisters when I don't have a death for either of them.

I can't see a death reg for George in 1878.

Dave

Hello crankypants,

Thanks. I had that as a possible birth for Agatha. Somewhere I got her death as 1938 WA. Don't worry about the E/R for Agatha.

Lots of BARNES deaths seem to be missing.

Dave

BUSHRANGING NEAR COOTAMUNDRY.-Mr. John Barnes has forwarded to us the following letter -Sir, -Bushranging and sticking-up seems to be the order of the day in this district. On Tuesday morning last, at sunrise, my son's store at Cootamundry was stuck up by four armed and mounted men and property, &c., valued at about £100 stolen and taken away on pack horses. I believe the same four men were on the road between Wallenbeen and Cootamundry on Saturday last, apparently courting the appearance of the police, who of course could be seen going the other way, the usual course being to put in an appearance about a week after the commission of a robbery. -Yass Courier, April 29.

Hi Dave

That Brisbane newspaper got me thinking, this might be the reason I can't find Anthony William BARNES in 1913 N.S.W.

1908 & 1913 QLD E/R Maranoa - Thargomindah (Stockman)

Hello crankypants,

Ah, good reason. I had no idea he had gone to Qld.

If that arrival is correct then there is nothing to look up in 1841 census. :)

Susan Elizabeth BARNES b. 1857 Binalong d. ?

married 1877 W Wagga

Thomas William ROBINSON b. 1849 d. ?

Please see what you can find. Thanks.

Dave

Hello crankypants,

An unlikely alternative:

Palmyra BARNES John 22 26/09/1838 Reels 2654, 1293 90 [4/4780], [4/4833] Wife 19; farm
labourer NRS 5313, 5314

He died in 1863 aged 51 so the above does not fit. About 4 years out.

John BARNES & Elizabeth King ELLEN
14 Jul 1833 St Antholin, Budge Row, London

Elizabeth c. 4 Jan 1803 the Mustons Lane Independent Church in Shaftesbury, Dorsetshire

I'd say it rules that 1838 arrival out.

Dave

Hi Dave

Well that's the last place I would have searched. Having had no luck finding them in Temora and surrounding areas also around Ariah Park I ended up checking all volumes and found them of cause in volume 16, the last one.

1913 N.S.W Electoral Roll - WILLYAMA—SILVERTON POLLING-PLACE
328 Robinson Susan Elizabeth Mundi Mundi domestic duties
329 Robinson Thomas William Mundi Mundi station manager

Can't see Susan in 1930 E/R so a death between 1913-1930.

cheers

BARNES Eliza, Myall, 45 Mount street, Coogee, home duties
Please see what you can find. Thanks.
