Iam new and trying to find details of my grandfather but whenever i enter any search it comes up blank.his name is Samuel E Lane , born 1901 or 02 and an orphan in bristol at the age of 12 . Where do i go from here .the details given here are correct and from my late granmother .

Hi,
Did a quick search on Ancestry. Found a birth record for Samuel Edward Lane . The birth was registered in the oct,nov,dec quarter 1902 in Bristol. The Volume & page numbers are Vol 6a, Page 51.
I could view the actual record. If you can order a certificate it will give parents names.
Will keep looking to see if I can come up with anything else.
