Baskerville Family Tree

Hi anyone able to give me some pointers in researching my Baskeville family tree. This is the first branch of my tree that I have managed to get back to someone into the 18th century so no longer have the luxury of census records.

I have managed to get back to Thomas Baskerville (ABT 1796) from sandbach according to his 1961 census who would be my 5th great grandfather.

The 1961 census is as follows.

I think I have found the 1951 census for thomas in a place called Betchton which is in sandbach according to google maps.

I cannot find him on the 1941 census.

The problem I have is that I am unsure who Thomas's wife, mother and father are. On Ancestry their are a couple of trees that have names for his parents but no references to back it up so don't want to take it on face value at this stage. I have messaged these users but no response as yet and they do not look like they have logged in for a while.

Thomas is the father of George Baskerville 1832 who would be my 4th great grandfather.

One of the trees has Thomas married to a Sarah Austin and father as Benjamin Baskerville 1740.

To clarify the typos above its "Baskerville"

Is the earliest I can search for a marriage in england/wales 1837? Ancestry has a function called onetree which suggests Thomas married a Sarah Austin on June 3 1816 in Sandbach?
