Beatrice Dixon / Dixson

Hello everyone,

I am getting very frustrated with trying to find this part of my tree, so I wondered if anyone can help?

Beatrice Dixson was born around 1881, but I am not sure where, either Wales or London I think. I believe her parents were Albert Dixson (abt 1858 ) and Mary Jane Edwards (abt 1864), both born in Wales, probably Cwmmer, but I am not 100% sure of this.

I cannot find her in any census at all, although I can find her father in the 1891 wales census, but by this time he has married another woman, Elizabeth Spiller.

I really want to find if she had any siblings, and what happened to her mother. Not sure where Beatrice or her mother are in 1901 census..., I have looked and looked and can't find them.

Beatrice and George were the parents of my grandmother, Glenys Morgan (1924). I am soooo frustrated I have been working on this for ages and not making any progress. I really hope someone can help find her... I cant understand why she doesnt appear to be in any census...?

Was Beatrice Dixon her full name ?
Quite a lot registered Beatice/Beatrix * Dixon and a few * Beatrix /BeaticeDixon.

No luck with Beatrice, but the Albert amd Mary J Dix*son born Cwmmer (Cummer) if they are the same are on the 1891 and 1901 census. Can you give the census info for her father Albert that you found.

Did you find Albert and Mary Jane in 1901 census still together? I thought he had remarried by that point...? This is them in the 1891 census:

No mention of a Beatrice as she wasnt born until around 1892 I think. But just cannot find her in 1901. I got her name from my grandmother who of course remembered the names of her mother and father. My grandmother passed away several years ago and there is no one left who can help me solve this mystery!

Trying to check 1901 census but Ancestry is slow at the moment. I see I did put 1901, will check later on.

Its Elizabeth he is with in 1901, got her and Mary mixed up. Cant find William born 1889 either do you know what to him?

do you have your grandmothers marriage certificate at all, or her death certificate?

To be 100% sure that you are tracking the 'right' Beatrice Dixson, you need this cert, then we can look at finding a birth cert and this will then give you the parents names. Even the human memory can play some tricks on us, time has a habit of creeping up on you and a year has flown already...
