You could always contact the local council for that area and see if they have him on their burial records. Also a email to the NSW state library for a death notice from the papers maybe.

How many days in 1989? :D

I doubt very much in one hour the "Ask a Librarian" service will be able to scan many SMH films looking for a death notice.

Gosford City Council:

Both Point Clare and Wamberal Cemeteries have General Lawn Sections, Memorial Gardens for the placement of ashes, and the old Denominational Sections.

The old denominational sections of the cemeteries are closed, however burials can be carried out in pre-reserved sites, which have the capacity for further burials or placements of ashes.

Not on the MI list for Point Clare General Cemetery but that is not a list of burial of ashes.

Transcripts for Wamberal said to be - HERE

You have probably seen this link Gail....but just in case:)

Cannot find any record of his death.....i doubt he was in Woy,Woy when he died.....or do you know for sure he was? as seem strange there is nothing on his death or burial.

Also the Trove site has the same name in Homebush in the link below....i cannot access it but halfway down on the right is a Benjamin Theodore Sutton .

Gosford area so probably him.

Hope you find him.

I couldn't access the 'pandora' link :(

He was a naughty boy in 1944...fancy using using kerosene in a car :eek:

He was my grandfather....estranged after my nan divorced him. Dad told me he lived in Woy Woy.
Bred and raced greyhounds....Mum said they ate better than the family, hahaha :2fun::2fun:

All the older generation have passed, so can't ask :':)'(

edit : tried the pandora link through another way.....not my family
