Dont think so Dave. The Lillian you have would have been born around 1913.

Her husband Bert, was that his real name or shortened?

Dunno gibbo about 'Bert' being short for Albert or something else.

But I guess age at death is not that far out. If the parents are correct but just in the wrong order can the siblings mentioned be found?

Can't see a death for son Robert before 1983 in NSW.

That Bensley is in my tree and I have that marriage but I have nothing to say he was known as 'Bert' and nothing yet to say they lived in Coogee and with this birth the death only fits if the informant got both names wrong.

So we would need William, 'Nell' and Arthur to be siblings born after 1913. Why was Eva not mentioned or is she 'Nell' ?

We would need the death of a William LESLIE before 20 June 1983 with parents as in above two birth reg and there is not such a death in NSW.

No death in Qld. for William with father = William and mother = Florence.

This is the closest i can find for a marriage for Bertie's parents. 5 years after Bertie was born

Bertie has parents noted as next of kin on his ww1 and ww2 records so it appears he didnt marry up until then. I cant find a marriage for him and Lillian so im wondering if they met and married overseas while he was in the military.

Aubrey Clifton Bensley is the one in my tree.

He married a Lilian M and I searched for a death for a Lilian M Bensley and found the one in post #1.

WRONG ONE.

That means there is no sign of Aubrey or Mary after 1980.

The only one in Ryerson and probably not the right one.

Might have to wait until the E/R index goes past 1980. It might move faster than the year by year increase in the death index.
