Parents married in 1910:

1573/1910 BISHELL CECIL E - PEARSE KATE R - GRANVILLE

I don't have a birth for Bessie but possibly after 1918.

Curious that Bessie is mentioned in the death notice but not listed as deceased. If they had separated / divorced she would not have been mentioned. ???

Looks as though junior was suffering from his old job as an asbestos worker. His father outlived him by 26 years. He moved in with his parents so perhaps Bessie didn't get along with them and moved elsewhere. ???

Married in 1936 so can't be the one born abt 1923.

Can't be the one born before 1900.

Middle name not Florence, so only the one who remarried.

I've gone through the E/R Index for 1968 and 1980 and can't find any Bessie Kathleen May hits.

Several Bessie Kathleen and one Bessie Kathleen Mary.

I'd better check if there is a birth 1912-1918 for Bessie.

No birth reg in NSW to 1918 for Bessie.

Need to rule out Bessie Catherine of Willoughby and Eastwood.

1949, 1954, 1958 & 1963 Parramatta. They overlap so she is ruled out.

1949 N.S.W. Electoral Roll - Blaxland - Auburn
COOK William Ernest, Laurelville, Berala street, asbestos worker
COOK Bessie Kathleen May, Laurelville, Berala street, home duties

Wonder if Bessie ended up been buried with William when she died.
Do we know where William was buried? Auburn?

She may have died after 1981 therefore not the NSW indexes so burial records might be the only way to trace her maybe.

No. Neither buried in CofE or other sections at Rookwood or at Woronora.

Don't have the funeral notice. It's on the list to look up on film.

I'd bet cremated. Neither at Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park.

It's 1975 so there are not many cemeteries in southern part of Sydney. Rookwood (it's huge), Waverley, Woronora, Botany and a few others.
