I mentioned to Steve about this book................its a brilliant read written by Sebastian Faulks....about Tunnelers in the trenches,abit of romance as well...it really is a good book...regards to you all Lee.

Hi Lee, I wuz just about to buy the 'Birdsong' audio CD, and I got distracted by Harry Patch, 'The Last Fighting Tommy'. and I bought that instead.

Same here Lee, it still brings tears to my eyes. I still can't comprehend all those lost, no matter how much I read and see.

Currently reading this- you're all right its a very good book! Thanks for recommending.
Has anyone read any more books by Sebastian Faulks? What did you think of them? and are there any in particular you recommend? Or just another good read in general!

Birdsong is an incredible story,one of my all time favourites.

I read Birdsong last year and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Well recommended.

Though the bit where they were buried alive really played on my mind for some days after!
