Birth Look Up Please

Hi,
I am trying to find out when Mary Ann Field was born? She married Peter Coote in Dec 1860 in Pancras. I am also trying to find out who her parents were. She may have been born in Marylebone. Can anyone help? Thanks

Hi,

I would purchase the marriage certificate, as this will arm you with her fathers name and occupation, also any possible siblings as witness's, this will then enable you to find her in the census. This will then hopefully be able to help you further

Thanks for that, I will do but my only query on that will be that it is difficult to access BMDs pre 1837.

Hi,
I have received the marriage certificate for Mary Field &Peter Coote. The information that it gives for Mary Field is as follows:
Name: Mary Field
Age: Full
Condition: Spinister
Rank or Profession: ????
Residence: Mornington Road
Father: George Field
Rank : Deceased

So the only thing I have to go on is the address but as to pre 1837 records, I am still not sure as according to 1871 Cencus she is shown as being born in St Marylebone as on 1861 Cencus but that is where I am stuck now.
Any suggestions, please>

Hi Gillian,

In 1841 there is a Mary Ann field born abt 1832 living in the civil parish of Marylebone with a family called Smith.

In 1851 there is a Mary Field born abt 1835 Marylebone occ servant to a Sarah Postance.

I havnt taken into account other Mary Fields born in Middlesex.

Thank you for that Julie. I will look into the Cencuses for any clues but it would be lovely to find Marys' mother as well.
The 2 witnesses to Marys' wedding to Peter Coote were Rebecca Freestone & Joseph Freestone who were Peters' fathers' sister & her husband so there were no clues there.
