Hi
For the sake of records in family trees etc what is the correct place of birth to record ie if for instance I lived in a village but was born at the hospital 5 miles or so away in a town which place of birth would i put, the town or the village where i actually lived. Thanks.

Hi Carole,

Good question. I've never thought of that one before. It would be the town in your case because that is where you were born. Though not everbody states the correct place of birth if you are refering to the census?

Thanks for the reply thats answered my question. Yes I was thinking about the census in years to come when our future generation is looking us up etc.:biggrin:
