I have realised that my ex-mother in law had a second name of Blanchard. Her father also had 4th name of Blanchard, ie. George Henry Wynne Blanchard Crompton.
I assumed that the m.i.l name of Blanchard was a chistian name, but now I have realised that it could be a hyphenated surname, ie. Blanchard-Crompton.
This hyphenated surname would only come down the Crompton line, so has anybody got any thoughts or ideas on this.
