Hello ozn,

Thanks. I'm not sure at all. All I have is his death on an old hand-written family tree.

His father: Hamilton Ernest William age 62 Mar 1959 Harrow vol 5f page 564

His mother: Hamilton (nee FULLER) Doris age 65 Jun 1968 Brentwood vol 4a page 400

Regards,

Dave

Hello ozn,

Thanks for looking. I don't know who drew up that family tree and no, I have no contact with any of that branch of the family who moved from Dublin to England. Most of that branch of the family lived and died in Lewes so Whitby is a bit of a surprise but age at death does fit.

Regards,

Dave

Hi Dave,

Trying to match the death that ozn found with birth entries. Five came up for Brian Hamilton including your one. None of which where born in Yorkshire. It may be a possibilty that he is yours. To account why he was in Yorkshire it may have been a holiday. Whitby is on the coast and that time of the year coincides with our summer holiday time. Just a thought anyway.

Hello Julie,

Thanks for looking. Given that there are not many by that name and age at death it's likely he is mine and I'll mark it as such pending further info.
