Hello everyone. I'm new and a member of the Port Macquarie Family History Assoc. NSW. Australia. I'm researching my great grandmother, Cecilia Croghan who worked in England before she migrated to Australia. I have her full history in Sydney and Bendigo but cant find her birth in either Ireland or England. Thank you.

Yes. That's correct. It's the Irish part I have trouble with. She's supposed to be born about 1831 and her sister Letitia about 1832. Parents Peter Croghan and Letitia nee Thompson but I have no dates at all for them
others have copied it!

Yes, That's correct. It's the Irish part I have trouble with as the Australian immigration officers asked "where did you come from?" -not "where were you born?" and I've been unable to find any records in Sligo, Ireland that indicate they were born there. DNA in Roscommon is linked to me but I've unable to find a name. Croghan is an usual name and there were Croghans in Roscommon. Many thanks for your prompt replies, everyone I appreciate it.
