Site up and running today. Searching is free and unlike the Scotsman newpaper archive site you actually get enough to know that the search you have done is about your ancestor or incident. Looks worth exploring.

I think this is going to be an amazingly useful site to find all sorts of material of great interest to most family and social historians,When I had access for beta testing I spent all day researching early histories of town and villages, finding obituaries and births and marriages. interesting reports from the courts and details of accidents and drownings

With a free log on you can search freely for what you are looking for before it starts to cost, and then the costs are reasonable

yeah is a great site, but have to save the pennies till after xmas. Will do searching now so I know wat I want to view and dont loss any credits because times ran out to use them up!
