Hi
I am looking for help with A British War Medal, the name around the edge is.
William Lawson, 33156, Cheshire Reg. I have found his medal card, and he was also awarded the Victory medal.
The medal belongs to a lady friend of my wife, she said it has been in the family for years and she would like to know a bit more about William Lawson.
As Lawson is not her family surname.
Hope you can help, as I have have hit a brick wall with this one.

Hi Oznannie
I passed the medal back to the owner this morning, with the small amount of information I had.
She said they had no more information to add. I have given the contact information for the Chesire regiment museum, in Chester.
With the rank, number, and regiment, it is normally easy to find some information.
But only the medal card came up in the search.

Many thanks
Adam

Adam, Hi, you did you very best to help the medal owner and you gave them advice to search further. Not much more you could have done, tried your best and well done to you. Perhaps the National Archives could have more and the Regiment you listed. He also was listed as 35070 and 43992 with Labour Corps Nth Staffs and Prince of Wales Regiment.
Warmies
Oznannie :)
