Death 11299/1897 BUCHAN MARGARET - UNKNOWN UNKNOWN - CAMDEN * 4 Oct 1897

So Margaret WALCH and William BUCHAN both born abt 1805.

I can't see a death for William.

Janet born abt 1831 - can't find a birth/bap or a marriage for her parents.

So far I can only see this possible - there are three with father Alexander

I think the Birth of William to Alexander Buchan and Janet Brown is correct as first child named after paternal Grandfather. Any issue in Australia with a middle name ?

ScotlandsPeople_OPR685_010_0630_0263Z.jpgWilliam Buchan Margaret Henderson marr.jpg

It's a long time ago since I stopped believing in coincidences in this hobby.Although a first marr. has not been found, i can say the same for my GGG Grandmother c1794 who had been married and widowed ,with no issue before my GG Grandmother was born 1818. It was she who reg. her mothers death, and no name for 1st.husband was given.

You will note William is a Mason ,just like Alexander c1781 in the Census.

The Sydney Morning Herald - Mon 11 Jun 1849 p.3
NEWS FROM THE INTERIOR.
(From our Correspondents.)
CAMDEN.
June 7.-As faithful chroniclers of passing events, it is now our pleasing duty to announce that the long-desired consecration of St John's Church, in this village, took place to-day. ...
But the Font is a permanent work, very artistically executed, and presented to the church by Mr. William Buchan, a talented mason and sculptor from Scotland, residing in this village. It is a handsome present for a poor man, and does his zeal for the cause great credit. The stone was obtained from a quarry at Danbigh, the estate of the Rev. J. Hassall, and the design was furnished by Mr. Lewis, the Colonial Architect.
