Hi everyone,

Would anyone be able to help me find burial records for an ancestor? A Sarah Platfoot was buried at St Matthew's on the 25th March, 1842. My problem is, I'd like to find out if she was buried in a marked grave, or a common one. I am going to email the Church Vicar/Rector/Priest and ask if the Church holds records, but on the Churches website (yes, it even has its own site!), it says that only recent records are kept there, and the rest are at the London Met Archives.

I'd love to know as this Church was a hub of family activity through the 1800's, with most being baptised, married and, in Sarah's case, buried; and my grandmother would like to visit it, having been there once before, with new knowledge that there may be a relative's grave there.

Ryan:)
