I have Richard Jesse Cubbidge born 1868 Islington, Middx, England. The family migrated to Canada in 1873. The last sighting I have of Richard is on the Canadian 1891 census, living in Toronto Ontario. Been having a look around and this family Family appear on the 1930 census Brooklyn New York. The husband is a Richard Coubage born 1890 Syria? wife Yazda born 1891 Syria, children Joseph, Alice, John and Alfred all born New York. Did Richard snr go abroad?.

Still can’t find anything. I think the census enumerator has gone overboard with the name place Syria. Seeing that there are gaps in records, perhaps Richard didn’t go abroad.

I believe at that time their was fighting going on with the indians also with Canadians/English soldiers over the territories at the border

Some family tree’s on Anc has his death1897 Berkshire England, that was his uncle. Don’t know why some people bother.

Looks like his name is Richard Kourbage, father Joseph. Back to the drawing board.
