hi there was hoping someone can help i have found that my g,g,great grandmother was born in sydney in canada and was hoping if anyone knows of a site were i could do a free search of her birth records there to find out her parents names and d.o.b etc her name was annie wilson and she was born between 1869-1875 cant find an exact date any help will be appreciated

Are you referring to Sydney in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia? I believe there's more than one Sydney in Canada though I only know about the Nova Scotian one.

hi james i presume its the one in nova scotia as she was married in halifax and some of the children were born in nova scotia to

Coincidentally, the LDS operate a FHC just on the outskirts of Sydney - I used it a few years ago. I'm not sure whether 'local knowlege' is more abundant in their information files, but at least they are there and represented. They seemed quite active when I visited their Centre which was part of their Church.
