Can't find a birth for Israel Fidgeon...

I need help here!

I have completely hit a brick wall.

Israel Fidgeon was born in circa 1803 according to the 1841 census.

I cannot find a birth for him on the BMD records no matter how much I try.

Can anybody help?!

According to the 1851 census, Israel Fidgeon[Fedgeon], was born 1801, Rockford, Essex, but I would think that to be ROCHFORD, Essex.

His wife Maria, was born c1809. Braintree, Essex.

Parish registers are the next port of call, I think.

Registration of BMD only started in 1837. You could try the IGI as well ... good luck.
