Louis Casimir married 26 Oct 1835 St Peter Church street Liverpool Lancs to Mary Shepherd – FHL 1068926

In 1853 shortly following the death of his youngest daughter Alice, Louis left for Australia and remarried there, in the following year Mary Casimir nee Shepherd remarried to Thomas Rawlinson.
It seems that Louis left without telling anybody – as attested in the marriage certificate of his eldest daughter Adelaide, that neither she or her paternal grandparents knew the whereabouts of Louis.

Louis dropped the French ancestral surname permanently on arriving in Australia, thereafter using his second given name as his surname.

Louis Casimir Saillenfaits b 28 April 1814 district of Zetol Lower Seine to Etienne Augustin Saillenfaits age 26 a shipwright & Marie Barbe Sainsaulieu wife.
