Hello dave,

Thanks. That's looks a definite possibility given the trade listed:

1861
Registration Number: 465
Registration district: Alloa
Civil Parish: Alloa
Town: Alloa
County: Clackmannanshire
Address: West Vennel
Cecilia Kelty head 45 1816 Factory Worker Wool Torryburn, Fifeshire
Cecilia Kelty daughter 22 1839 Factory Torryburn, Fifeshire
John Kelty son 18 1843 Plumber Ap Torryburn, Fifeshire
David Kelty son 15 1846 Baker Ap Torryburn, Fifeshire
William Kelty son 13 1848 Piecer Wool-mill Torryburn, Fifeshire
Margaret Kelty daughter 11 1850 Torryburn, Fifeshire
Manney Kelty daughter 9 1852 Alloa, Clackmannanshire
Amos Kelty son 7 1854 Alloa, Clackmannanshire
Adam Kelty son 4 1857 Alloa, Clackmannanshire
Cecelia Kelty mother 80 1781 Torryburn, Fifeshire
So it is probably this one:

John KELTIE & Margaret CALDWELL

Hello dave,

It looks as though you have found John who was born 23 May 1842 Torryburn to parents James KELTY & Cecilia MASTERTON. That marriage would fit with Agnes M aged 7. The middle name is probably Masterton.

I have mother in law in 1891 in Falkirk.

1891
CP: Falkirk Burgh
County: Stirlingshire
73 Grahams Road
James Grainger age 45 occ blacksmith born Falkirk
Margaret (Graham) wife age 23? born Toryburn
William son age 17 born Toryburn
Ellen dau age 12 born Alloa
Marion dau age 10 born Alloa
Cecilia m in law age 75 born Toryburn
Regards,

Dave

M is not Masterton for Agnes.

Agnes McIntyre KELTY c. 29 May 1864 United Association Burgh Seceders, Limekilns, Fife
Father: JOHN KELTY
Mother: MARGARET CALDWELL

Well now, it does fit. MacIntyre must be from the Caldwell side because the other names on the Keltie side are Black and Watson.

Cecilia Masterton KELTIE b. 24 SEP 1865 Dunfermline, Fife
Father: JOHN KELTIE
Mother: MARGARET CALDWELLS

Off topic, just have to share this with you blokes.
My gt niece expecting a baby, her almost 3 yr old son patted her tummy. He said "I'm just saying hello to Dave, my brother"...:)
Where on earth did he get the name from? Anyway, "Dave" is due on Monday.
They've been shopping for Dave, getting his bedroom ready. The little bloke has even given Dave some of his toys! Don't you just love the things kids say??
Keep you posted.
